Barcelona & Manchester City to Compete Get Javi Martinez

Nigel De Jong of Manchester City are planning to leave at the end of this season. Roberto Mancini began monitoring the number of players in the defensive midfield position will be left behind the Dutchman.

Martinez is often reported to be the main target of Mancini. But the effort likely will not run smoothly for a number of big European clubs are monitoring the player's Athletic Bilbao.

According to news from El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is also targeting Martinez, in anticipation of the planned departure of Seydou Keita, next summer.

Martinez might be tempted to move to Barca's chances of entry to open Spanish national team. But the Catalan club is doubtful to meet the demand of Bilbao that set a price of around £ 34 million for the 23-year-old players.

City itself would still require Bilbao to slightly reduce their demand. In addition to City and Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are also reportedly on the list of clubs vying for Martinez.
